Introduction

AIMS Adept is an enterprise Asset Integrity Management System built for Oil & Gas and Steel operations. It covers the full integrity workflow: hierarchical asset taxonomy, technical documents and interactive drawing markup, technical inspection, RBI reference data, preventive maintenance job cards, and multi-step AI-assisted RCM studies — all in one secure, role-based web environment.

Why this catalog stands out

Instead of listing modules in isolation, the page follows the real engineering decision flow: from master data to documents and markup, then inspection, risk, maintenance, and reliability decisions. This structure makes sales and demo conversations faster, clearer, and more professional.

Highlights

  • Technical documents, CAD intake, and interactive markup in one workflow
  • Direct links between asset structure, inspection, PM, and RCM
  • Ready for demo, sales, and technical walkthroughs

Asset Integrity Journey

Modules connect conceptually — from master data to maintenance decisions.

Features & Capabilities

Content order follows the real deployment and operating workflow.

Users, Roles & Business Scope

Every user is assigned a role with per-module permissions (view, create, edit, delete). Data is scoped by Business Category so multiple clients and contractors can operate securely within one platform.

  • System and custom roles
  • Automatic Business Category filtering
  • Optional cross-category access for privileged roles

Hierarchical Asset Taxonomy

Location and equipment are modeled in multiple levels for a clear operational view and durable links to inspection, PM, and RCM:

  • Business Category → Installation → Plant / Unit
  • System / Section → Asset → Subsystem
  • Maintainable Part

Asset Category / Class / Class Type references standardize the equipment catalog and PM job cards. Equipment codes are generated automatically.

Technical Document Management

Documents attach to taxonomy levels so drawings, datasheets, and supporting records stay next to operational data. The library accepts a wide range of office, image, and CAD formats.

  • PDF, images, Office files
  • DXF / DWG and archives
  • Business Category–scoped access
Key Tool

Interactive Markup Tool

Technical drawings convert to SVG and are annotated in a Konva-based interactive editor — no external markup tools required. Marks are stored in a structured form and remain attached to the same SVG page for review and edits.

  • Convert images, PDF, DXF, and DWG to SVG
  • Mark categories: TML, CML, CL, IG, and custom
  • Marks stay attached to the source SVG page for ongoing review.
  • Access is controlled by Business Category and role permissions.
  • Shapes, text, freehand, stroke styles, and hatch fills
  • View / Edit modes with zoom and pan

Technical Inspection

The technical inspection module links field data to asset hierarchy and business scope. Thickness Measurement records are captured against Plant/Unit and Asset so inspection history stays traceable and reportable.

  • Inspection type catalog (Visual / NDT and more)
  • Thickness records with date and asset location
  • Dedicated role-level access control

Together with markup, monitoring points (TML/CML) on drawings and measured values live in one connected ecosystem.

RBI Module — Reference Data & Risk Settings

For risk-based inspection planning, reference catalogs and advanced settings live in one module—so decisions are consistent, traceable, and repeatable across engineering teams.

  • Risk settings and inspection intervals scoped by Business Category
  • Area & financial risk matrices with customizable boundaries and color mapping
  • Inspection methods with effectiveness ratings A to E
  • GFF (General Failure Frequency) across hole/rupture scenarios with total calculation
  • Fluids, representative fluids, materials, and categories
  • Management System Survey

Preventive Maintenance (PM)

PM job cards connect maintenance routines to asset class type, program type, discipline, and executive unit. Scheduling can be time-based, counter-based, or event-driven.

  • Automatic job-card coding
  • Program / subprogram types, frequencies, tools, consumables
  • HSE notes and stop statuses

AI-Assisted RCM Wizard

RCM studies run through a guided multi-step wizard. Each step can generate a first draft with AI; the expert reviews and approves the set before the next step unlocks.

  • 1. Asset Identification
  • 2. Data Requirements
  • 3. Functions
  • 4. Functional Failures
  • 5. Failure Modes
  • 6. Failure Effects
  • 7. Consequences
  • 8. Task Selection
  • 9. Task Packaging
  • 10. Implementation

Each study uses the Business Category AI configuration, with prompt overrides and an assigned RCM expert. Consistency checks validate asset context and step inputs before advancing, keeping outputs reliable from the start.

AI Provider Configuration

Connections to multiple large-language providers are managed inside the platform. API keys are stored encrypted, with a default configuration per Business Category. Authentication modes include API Key, Bearer Token, OAuth2, and None.

  • OpenAI · Anthropic · Google · Azure · Cohere
  • DeepSeek · Qwen · Groq · GitHub Models · GapGPT
  • Local / Custom endpoints

Connection testing and model listing are available from the same configuration screen.

Import / Export & Audit Trail

Operational grids support import and export, with results tracked in an import/export log (Success / Partial / Failed + row counts). When failures occur, an error Excel file is available for troubleshooting. For auditability, many entities keep a full change history.

  • Success / partial / failed logs with row counts
  • Error Excel file for faster troubleshooting
  • User and timestamp tracking
  • Change history on roles, catalogs, markups, and AI config

Measurement Units

Units are defined in a standardized, categorized way and physical unit conversion is disabled; values must be stored and displayed in the system standard unit (no unit-picker UI). Each unit category supports consistent engineering labels and display.

Categories cover length, mass, temperature, pressure, flow, viscosity, density, and other common industrial quantities.
