Field Capture Adept

Structured asset data, captured in the field

Technicians and surveyors keep the asset, its place, the person who recorded it, and the evidence that supports the record in one project — even when the site has no signal.

Introduction

Field Capture Adept is a mobile application for collecting industrial asset information where the work happens. It is built for technicians, engineers, and field surveyors who need asset details, photographs, documents, voice notes, and location in one structured project. The point is to keep the context: what the asset is, where it belongs, who recorded it, and which evidence supports the record.

Built for the site, not the office

A corridor inside a unit is a poor place to wait for a network. The app lets people organize projects, collect records, review them, and prepare an export without an internet connection or an online account. Poor GPS does not block a save. The work continues, and the location quality is recorded honestly.

Highlights

  • Project, location, and asset stay linked
  • Photos, documents, and voice notes travel with the record
  • Export is arranged for the team that receives the handover

From the site to a usable package

Collection follows the plant, not a flat list of files.

  1. 01

    Project

    A workspace you can resume

  2. 02

    Location

    Installation down to the system

  3. 03

    Export

A package ready to hand over

A finished export is not a camera roll. Photos, documents, and audio are grouped by project, location, and asset, with spreadsheets for location and GPS.

Features & capabilities

The flow matches a survey day: open the project, stand at the asset, capture what matters, and leave with a package someone else can use.

Structure

A location hierarchy that matches the plant

Each project follows a practical chain: project, installation, plant or unit, system or section, then asset. Several locations can live in one project, and a default project brings you back to yesterday’s work.

  • Switch between projects without mixing their records
  • Parent relationships where the asset needs them
  • Captures stay tied to the operational location

Evidence that still explains itself

For each asset you can record the name, tag, description, and type. Supporting evidence can be a categorized photograph from the camera or the gallery, an attached document, or a voice note.

  • History with identifying details and image thumbnails
  • Reopen a record and keep editing before export
  • The person on the local technician profile stays with the work

Location that does not stop the job

When location is enabled for the project and allowed on the device, the app stores the coordinates it can get and the accuracy the device reports. Weak reception and missing location are marked, not hidden.

  • Low-accuracy readings are identified
  • Unavailable location does not block a save
  • Indoor and shielded areas remain workable

A day of work, in the language you use

The home screen shows projects, captured assets, and export status at a glance. English and Persian, right-to-left layout, and Light, Dark, or System themes follow the person holding the device.

  • PIN, password, or a supported fingerprint
  • Working records encrypted in the app’s private storage
  • No online account required to collect

An export the next team can open

When collection is finished, the Export Center arranges photos, documents, and audio by project, location, and asset, and adds location and GPS spreadsheets. Integrity checks look for missing or damaged evidence before you call the package done.

  • Save a local copy or share it from the device
  • Export history keeps the package details
  • Suitable for surveys, plant documentation, and asset-register preparation

The current app is for Android phones and tablets. An iOS version is planned as the next platform.

Built for Android phones and tablets. An iOS version is the planned next step, not a feature of the current release.

Offline first

Projects, capture, review, and export preparation run without a connection and without an online account.

Private and locked

Records and evidence are encrypted in the app’s private storage. Access can use a PIN, a password, or a supported fingerprint.

English, Persian, and theme

Both languages, right-to-left layout, and Light, Dark, or System appearance — chosen on the device, not imposed by a server.
